COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

All medically-eligible patrons attending this event will be asked to show proof of full vaccination prior to entering the venue. Any adults over the age of 12 who are not medically eligible to receive a vaccination must provide proof of medical ineligibility and a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before the time of entry into the event. Metro Theater Company encourages those who are unvaccinated to enjoy this program during its streaming broadcast Dec. 18 – 25 rather than create health risks to themselves or others by attending a large public gathering.

Additional Donations

Every year school districts across our region struggle to find the resources to both meet students' needs and to diversify their students' learning through the social and emotional benefits of live theater. Recent studies from the National Endowment for the Arts show that experiences with live theater at an early age not only help young people build empathy and understand difference - it plays a major role in helping young people envision a future for themselves unconstrained by their current circumstances. In short, experiencing live theater for young people is a pathway to cultivating hope.

Every $10 donated for ticket underwriting allows a child to attend one of our student matinees.  A larger gift of $750 or more makes it possible for MTC to tour an entire production into a school. For many children in districts with limited resources, an experience with MTC is their first introduction to live theater and its ability to awaken creativity, critical thinking, and empathy. Whatever your gift amount, know that your support directly shares that magic of theater with the next generation of movers, thinkers, and doers.

COVID-19 Vaccination / Negative Test Requirement

In order to ensure the safety and health of audience members, artists, crew, staff and volunteers, The Sheldon will require proof of full vaccination** OR a negative COVID test no more than 48 hours old, to attend ticketed concerts and events. The Sheldon is pleased to join our music and arts colleagues in Grand Center, and throughout the city and county, in taking this important step in bringing live events back to St. Louis this fall.

Sheldon audiences are consistently praised by our artists as the best in the country, and we thank everyone for willingly doing their part to help us safely bring concerts back to The Sheldon!
