Two-time Tony Award Winner Norbert Leo Butz (“Catch Me If You Can,” “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” Tony Awards for Best Lead Actor in a Musical) will return to St. Louis to take part in this event, receiving a special award for his continued commitment to ending violence against women through the organization’s work.  Other collaborators include: singer songwriter and L.I.F.E. Arts Inc Founder and Executive Director Brian Owens, The Bach Society, The Women’s HOPE Chorale, Tony Award-winning producer, pianist and music director Michael J. Moritz, Jr., and singer Jennifer Hopper among others.

Purpose: 10 years ago, The Angel Band Project started in response to the tragic rape and murder of St. Louis native, Teresa Butz - younger sister of Norbert Leo Butz. What began as an effort of two friends to heal and cope in the aftermath of this loss has blossomed into a national nonprofit whose mission is to use the power of music to provide healing, raise awareness, and promote positive social change for survivors of sexual violence.

This special 10-year milestone at The Sheldon Concert Hall will include live performances showcasing the organization’s highlights, including:

  • Selections from the first benefit album produced in 2010
  • Creation of the nation’s groundbreaking music therapy program for survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence
  • Special projects including the Virtual Choir Project and Songs of Survival Benefit Albums
  • Performance this past November at the United Nations Headquarters in NY, NY as part of the UN Secretary-General’s UNITE Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Girls

Event Inclusions: There are two ticket types: Full Event VIP Ticket $150 and Concert Only Ticket for $50.

Full Event VIP Ticket includes a cocktail reception in the Atrium, followed by preferred seats for a performance in the Concert Hall, and capped off with a celebration party in the Louis Spiering Room with silent auction, live music, open bar, food stations and special guests.

Concert Only Ticket only includes the Concert Hall portion of the event, which will last approximately 2 hours.

Funds raised will be used to grow our music therapy programs in St. Louis, Seattle, and New York City.
