This fall at the Grandel Theater, Karlovsky & Company Dance presents STAGED, a curated concert showcasing original works by both emerging and established choreographers.

STAGED is a production of fresh choreographic voices furthering contemporary and experimental dance. Audiences will experience St. Louis premieres by a diverse lineup of local choreographers, including Abigail Hinrichs, Dawn Karlovsky, Liliana Merifield, Melissa Miller, Ramona Orion, Zoe DeYoung, and Xi Zhao. The production also features compelling original sound-scores composed by local musician Tory Starbuck.

Audiences can expect a diverse array of performances including dynamic dance-theater, structured movement scores that seamlessly blend improvisation with set choreography, contemporary dance integrated with puppet theater, and multi-disciplinary collaborations.

Highlighting deep community collaboration, 16 guest artists from the St. Louis dance community will join the company’s resident dancers to form a fully integrated ensemble. STAGED promises an evening of artistic innovation, risk-taking, and creative dialogue - inviting audiences to witness dance as a living, evolving art form that thrives on curiosity.
