Systems Support Specialist

MetroTix / Fox Theatre

EMPLOYEE STATUS:   Full-time Hourly 

Position Summary

The Systems Support Specialist will work directly under the Senior Systems Support Specialist and the Network Administrator, providing a great learning opportunity to further increase networking knowledge and administration abilities. The position is 40 hours per week with a mixture of weekdays and weekends and will include occasional overtime. Shifts will vary based on company needs and some on-call will be required. 

A person in this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of end-user workstations, peripherals, software, printers, various network devices, cabling, security cameras. This position provides support for the Fabulous Fox Theatre, as well as the various MetroTix venues across the metropolitan area. Deliveries and service calls to MetroTix clients using the company vehicle is also required.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications

•    Administration and support of Windows 10 machines in a domain and non-domain environment
•    Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting network devices and peripherals
•    Intermediate knowledge of computer networking
•    Strong understanding of wireless networking
•    Ability to prioritize and manage tasks/projects without direction
•    Creative problem solving
•    Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Experience with the following is not required but is beneficial

•    Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
•    Security camera configuration/troubleshooting
•    Digital signage 
•    VoIP administration
•    Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic termination
•    Controller based wireless LAN systems

Ticket Services Representative (Part time)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding guest service at all times
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Process ticket orders by phone and in person
  • Cash handling for in person orders
  • Act as first contact for guest questions and concerns about ticket orders completed over the phone, online, and in person
  • Be knowledgeable of all events, venues, websites, and software used in day-to-day tasks
  • Perform other business related tasks as assigned by management.

Education/Background Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is necessary.
  • Some college is preferred.
  • Previous data entry and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Work Hours/Salary

  • The work hours are flexible and can be tailored to the individual employee's availability.
  • Day, evening, and weekend hours available.
  • This position is hourly and starts at $15/hour.
