"An Evening With Regency Girls" will introduce the audience to the show and its characters through interview and discussion with Regency Girls lyricist, two-time Tony and GRAMMY nominee Amanda Green (Mr. Saturday Night, Bring It On: The Musical); composer, three-time Emmy nominee Curtis Moore ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel"); and director/choreographer Josh Rhodes (Spamalot!) and live performances from Krystina Alabado ("Hazbin Hotel," Mean Girls The Musical) Isabelle McCalla (Schmigadoon!, Water For Elephants), Ryann Redmond (Bring It On: The Musical, If/Then), and Nik Walker (Masquerade, Hamilton).
The event will be co-hosted by Dr. Kira Banks and Gilberto Pinela.
Regency Girls is a brand new musical comedy set in the time and place of "Bridgerton" and steeped in the laugh-powered sensibility of "Bridesmaids." When Elinor Benton finds herself pregnant and unmarried in 19th-century England, her carriage ride-or-dies gather for a perilous journey that is equal parts hilarious and profound, transforming each of them as they make choices about their own futures.
Regency Girls features a book by Jennifer Crittenden & Gabrielle Allan ("Veep," "Seinfeld," "Scrubs"); lyrics by Amanda Green, and music by Curtis Moore, with direction and choreography by Josh Rhodes.
This is a 90 minute special event with select performances and discussion about the show and its journey to Broadway.
A series of free panel discussions on topics related to musicals and Broadway will take place on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 leading up to this performance. More information and registration here.
