EXPOSED is a powerful, emotionally charged touring stage play that invites audiences into the unseen battles of the human mind. Centered on Dae, a Black American man standing at the crossroads of identity, family, purpose, and pain, the story unfolds through a vivid dream where reality and memory collide.
As Dae encounters the voices of his mother, father, best friend, lover, and daughter, he is forced to confront the experiences that have shaped him—and the truths he has spent a lifetime avoiding. Through compelling dialogue, theatrical imagery, music, and deeply human storytelling, EXPOSED examines mental wellness, masculinity, generational trauma, forgiveness, and the courage required to heal.
Written with Joel PE King’s signature blend of emotional honesty and socially conscious storytelling, EXPOSED is a transformative production that resonates across generations and communities, making it an ideal centerpiece for tours, festivals, educational residencies, and community engagement initiatives.
