Cohort Film Lab is a short, project-based filmmaking experience designed to help creatives make real work together.
Participants are placed into small teams and given a shared lab prompt. Each group develops, shoots, and completes an original short film over a set period of time. The lab emphasizes collaboration, practice, and follow-through rather than lectures or traditional classes.

The experience runs across two in-person sessions:
Night 1
You’ll walk into a room with other local creatives, receive the lab prompt, and be placed into a small group. Each group is assigned a genre and spends the night brainstorming concepts, defining roles, and locking in shoot dates and deliverables.
Between sessions
Teams independently produce their short films — writing, shooting, editing, and collaborating on their own schedules.

Final Night / Screening
Two weeks later, everyone reconvenes for a public screening. Each group premieres their finished short film followed by a talkback and Q&A with the audience.
Cohort Film Lab is for filmmakers, actors, writers, editors, musicians, and artists who want to collaborate, practice their craft, and walk away with a finished project and a stronger creative community.

No professional gear, prior credits, or finished scripts are required — just a willingness to collaborate and follow through.
