Composers Cooperative presents works of two St. Louis composers of modern chamber music.
Dr. Michael F. Hunt
Dr. Hunt was Composer in Residence at Fontbonne University from 1977 through 1986. During a sabbatical year from Fontbonne University, he spent a year as Senior Visiting Fulbright Scholar at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Saint Louis University, Webster University, and Principia College.
His music has been performed around the world by such ensembles as the Los Angles Philharmonic, the St. Louis Symphony, the Bremerton Symphony, the Springfield Symphony, the Kirkwood Symphony, the Webster Symphony, the Northland Symphony, the Jackson Symphony, the Tucson Philharmonic, and at festivals in Ireland, Hong Kong, Sarajevo, Novi Sad, and Tasmania.

Stephen Jones has composed music for solo piano, song cycles for piano and voice, chamber ensembles, and orchestral pieces.
He studied music composition and theory with composer John Huggler at the University of Massachusetts and completed a Masters degree under Donald Bohlen in Composition and Theory at SUNY Fredonia, New York.
The University City Symphony orchestra has premiered Jones’ orchestral work "Nocturne II,” and the first movement of his "Sketches for Violin and Piano" was premiered by Lorraine Glass-Harris, violinist, and Henry Palkes, pianist.
An active musician in the St Louis area, Jones has also performed his own piano compositions in recital at meetings of the St Louis Piano Society.
